John 1:1-51 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
Proverbs 4:18(NASB)But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, That shines brighter and brighter until the full day.
Righteousness is not an action, it is a position.
2 Corinthians 5:21 (NASB)He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Righteousness is not an action, it is a position.
Pro 4:18, 20-24(TPT)But the lovers of God walk on the highway of light, and their way shines brighter and brighter until the perfect day. 20Listen carefully, my dear child, to everything that I teach you, and pay attention to all that I have to say. 21Fill your thoughts with my words until they penetrate deep into your spirit. 22Then, as you unwrap my words, they will impart true life and radiant health in to the very core of your being. 23So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life. 24Avoid dishonest speech and pretentious words. Be free from using perverse words no matter what!
The word refers to people’s maintaining things entrusted to them, especially to keeping the truths of God in both actions and mind.
Colossians 1:13(NASB) For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,
Righteousness is not an action, it is a position. It correlates with actions because when you’re there things start dropping off that generally require action. It’s the position revealed and received which prompt us to believe and do…Ie forgiving, Renouncing, Repenting.
