A Timely Word – Part 2, by Pastor Michele Garcia
Connection–The relation between things that depend on, involve, or follow each other–causal relationship–where what effects you, effects me and vice versa.
Our most important connection must be with God–the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit–over and over in His Word it speaks of Triune God interacting with His people.
Psalm 62: 2 He alone is my rock and my salvation, My defense and my strong tower; I will not be shaken or disheartened.
Psalm 62:5- 6 For God alone my soul waits in silence and quietly submits to Him, For my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; My fortress and my defense, I will not be shaken or discouraged.
Alignment–correct or appropriate position–a position of agreement or alliance–synonyms–adjustment, arrangement, calibration, order, positioning.
Alignment to things in the natural–shopping cart–when the wheels are not aligned–you fight the thing, and it’s embarrassing–Bodies-Pastor Fred–pelvis out of alignment–causes pain~ We need to be in alignment with God and with man. For this to happen we need our souls, spirits and beliefs to line up with Holy Spirit and what He’s speaking.
Alignment with God–we are allowing Him to steer us in the direction of His purpose and plan.
Romans 8: 5-6 5 For those who are living according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh [which gratify the body], but those who are living according to the Spirit, [set their minds on] the things of the Spirit [His will and purpose]. 6 Now the mind of the flesh is death [both now and forever because it pursues sin]; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace [the spiritual well being that comes from walking with God both now and forever]
Strength with God–His strength becomes ours and we are able to do whatever is set before us. Strength in relation to others–We need to be strength, with God, for those who have none.
Lastly, breakthrough–we need connection, alignment and strength to achieve breakthrough personally and corporately.
