Expectancy, by Senior Fred Garcia
Expectance is not always an emotional response. I can expect to see the sun rise every day, but I don’t always get emotional. It is a confidence, trust, faith, experience that it has always come up, it will do it again. Likewise, we are called to have that same and greater expectancy (confidence, trust, faith) in the Character and integrity/consistency of our God. Do we come to church expectant that God will move or do we come expecting to have a good word from, or good music from., or a mediocre word at best from, because of offence, failings, etc. I’m not saying that these things are happening, I’m saying they happen at times because we begin setting our expectations in the wrong place, but here’s the cool thing, when we place our expectations, when we let expectancy stir for what God is going to do, that He will move, when we gather it takes the anointing of the entire service upward. It draws the anointing out of those leading.
What are the expectations you carry into your week???
