Nuances of Identity Part 1: Emotion-Whole, by Senior Pastor Fred Garcia

Nuances of Identity

God demonstrates full spectrum of emotions from the beginning, In Genesis 1-3 alone we see not only what Papa felt, but it was on full display. Pleasure, joy, pride as He creates. Delight as man named the animals. Concern/Empathy-He sees it’s not good for man to be alone. Sadness when it is revealed what Adam & Eve have done. Anger/wrath at the serpent.

I had a dream where I was walking in/out of the church with rainbow colored hair. It was well received by some and offended others. God spoke to me how my colored hair represented present & future what He wants to do through me, and through this ministry which we are all called to be a part of.

  1. To demonstrate the full range spectrum of His glory through the full spectrum of our healed emotions.
  2. He compared the full spectrum of emotions to the full spectrum of light, the rainbow, which He demonstrated with my hair. Each color represented. Each one balanced and proportional to the rest.

We are called from glory to glory…full spectrum! If we won’t consider this a proper rainbow where one color dominates the entire scheme, then we shouldn’t be ok to only demonstrate one or two emotions and calling it the full spectrum of God’s heart.
