Steward the Fire, by Senior Pastor Fred Garcia

Steward the Fire

Dunamis is the Greek word describing God’s MIRACULOUS power, might, strength, ability. It’s used 124 times throughout the new testament. Luke uses it 15x, Mt 10, Mk 13, John 0, Acts 10, Ro 7, 1 Cor 16x. There are many places I could share from this morning but Holy Spirit’s given me just one.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5 (NASB) 1 And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. 3 I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, 4 and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.

If our faith is to rest on the Dunamis, power, fire of the Holy Spirit, we need to follow the fire. The fire surrounded by darkness is always attractive. We need to be willing to step out and pray for these things.

Pray for grace, anointing, release, words…
